Project Screen

The project screen is enrich.fm’s landing page, where the Account Holder creates, edits and shares their projects, and manages their collaboration groups, subscriptions, etc.

Definition of enrich.fm terms

 

  • Account Holder: the podcaster / show creator links adds interactive visual slides to their podcast
  • Project: an episode of the podcast
  • Slide(s): any interactive specific visual slide that is  linked to a project
  • Richpod: a podcast that has been enriched using enrich.fm
  • Collaborators: any third parties (e.g. media consultants) who are appointed by the Account Holder to link slides to a projects
  • Richpod URL: a unique URL that the Account Holder to distribute a richpod to listeners through web pages, social media, etc.
  • Listener: anyone who consumes a Richpod
  • Richpod API: an API that is provided free of charge to third parties who which to enable their own players to play Richpods

Verification Methodology: 

enrich.fm does not allow anyone to link Slides to any podcast. Accordingly, to link slides to a podcast, the email address of the Account Holder must match the email address included in the podcast RSS metadata. (NOTE: The owner of this email account is deemed to have the right to enrich the shows’s podcasts)

 

Create a Project: press the + button on the bottom right of the screen and enter the podcast show’s url as provided by the Host.

  • If it is the first time that the Account Holders is connecting to a show, then enrich.fm will first check if the email address in the podcast matches the address of the Account Holder
    • If the email address of the Account Holder matches the email address of the podcast owner, then the Account Holders will sent an email requesting confirmation that to allow all the episodes to be enriched. Upon receipt of this confirmation, the Account Holder will be provided with a list of the show’s episodes. Select the episode to be enriched.
    • If the email address of the Account Holder does not match the email address of the podcast owner, then the Account Holder will advised of this as asked to contact their Host to insert the correct email address.  To assist the Account Holder, an email will be sent that provides details of the contents of the podcast’s RSS metadata.
  • If the Account Holder’s connection to the podcast shows has been verified, then Account Holder will be provided with a list of the show’s episodes. Select the episode to be enriched.

Each project is shown in a card that includes the logo of the audio creator, the name of the audio show / channel, details of the audio episode; and the following options:

 

  • Publish / Unpublished switch: Select ON to allow Listener to consumer the Project. (NOTE: Collaborators do not have access to this switch)
  • Collaborator Group <?>: assign a collaborate group (one or more collaborators) to the assist the Account Holder with enriching the Project
  • Edit Project <?>: edit the Project in the project edit screen
  • Share a Richpod URL <?>: to share the entire Project, or share from a particular slide in the Project. To play from the beginning, simply select the first Slide, or select the Slide from where you want the project to be played. Then copy the URL to different iFrame embed codes to the clipboard
  • Delete Project <?>: delete the project

The project page is enrich.fm’s landing page, of the the User creates, edits and shares their projects, and manages project collaboration groups.

  • change subscriptions, etc.
  • manage collaborator groups:  press <+> to create an new group or select a collaboration group to edit
  • view terms and conditions
  • contact us
  • logout

Project Edit Screen

The project edit screen is used to create Slides and link them to a Project (podcast episode).

This project edit screen is screen is divided into three horizontal areas.

 

  • Audio: – The bottom area is controls that audio.
  • Stagging: The middle area is a staging area that holds the Slides prior to them being linked to the podcast.
  • Linking: The top area shows all Slides that have been linked to the podcast.

 

The idea is that the Project Slides are first created, edited and then ordered in the staging area, and thereafter linked to the podcast. The audio assists the user to with the timing of the Slide.

Create a new Slide: press the + icon located at the bottom right. The new Slide is created from one of three types of templates:

 

  • Account Holder personal templates: these are the personal templates of the Account Holder / Collaborator
  • enrich.fm templates: these are enrich.fm‘s the standard templates
  • Podcaster’s templates: these are the personal templates of the podcaster which are made available to collaborators

 

All new Slides are automatically inserted into the staging area of the project.

 

Managing your personal templates:

  • Add: to add a Slide to your personal templates, simply press the more button of the Slide in the staging area, and select ‘add to private templates’
  • Delete: to remove a Slide from your personal templates,
    • select the ‘+’ button to create a new Slide,
    • selected the personal template you wish to delete,
    • press the delete button.

To manage the Slides in the Staging area, press:

 

  • edit <?> : to edit the Slide <edit unlayer info>
  • click icon – to insert the Slide based on the audio time.
  • More <?>: and then:
    • make a copy of the Slide in the staging area
    • copy the page to private templates
    • delete the page from he staging area
  • to move the pages into correct order, drag an drop them.

Linking Slides to podcast: There are three way ways you can link the pages located in the staging area to the audio:

 

  • collate all Slides in staging area in the correct order. Play the audio, and when the Slide needs to shown, link it to the podcast by pressing the <clock button>.
  • play the audio and link default markers to audio by pressing the <?> button. Then return and edit the markers or replace the markers with a Slide.
  • link a Slide by pressing the clock button, and then adjust the link-time of each page manually.

 

Other functions in the linking area:

 

  • Edit Slide: press <?>
  • Edit Slide timing: press the time, edit and press return
  • de-link: to de-link a Slide and return it to the staging area, press <?>
  • Alt i: add a blank marker to timeline
  • Alt a: link next page in staging area
  • Alt 1: play or pause the audio
  • Alt 2: go back 10 seconds
  • Alt 3: go forward 10 seconds
  • Alt 4: decrease playback speed
  • Alt 5: increase playback speed

Slide Edit Screen

The slide edit screen is where the Account Holder / Collaborator to edit the interactive and visual components of the Slides.

Other side functions to be included, as needed:

 

  • Slide name: this is the Slide name that will appear in the player
  • Slide description: details of the slide
  • Expiry date: enter the date, if any, from which the Slide should not be shown
  • URL Link: each slide allows listener to click through to a single URL
  • Open in existing or new window: Set whether the URL link should open within the player or in a new browser window
  • Audio link: enter the URL of a separate audio file that should be played
  • Press <?> to replace Slide with template

Player

The enrich.fm player is  the player used by listeners when activate URL

Basic functions of the player:

 

Press:

  • <?> to Play and <?> to pause the podcast
  • <?> and <?> to move 10 seconds forward and back in the podcast
  • move finger horizontally to view all slide in podcast,
  • press slide to play from it’s position in podcast
  • <?> to access additional information about the podcast
  • <?> to access additional general players functions
  • <?> to access podcast share functions

Managing private Templates:

 

  • To add a page to your private templates, simply press the more button on the page while it is in the staging area, and select ‘add to private templates’
  • to remove a page from your private templates, a) select the ‘+’ button to create a new template, b) select the template you wish to delete, and then c) select the delete button.

Linking pages to audio:

 

There are three way ways you can link the pages located in the staging area to the audio:

 

  • collate all pages in staging area in the correct order. Then play the audio, and link individual pages by pressing the clock button below each page.
  • play the audio and link default markers to audio by pressing the “”????? button. then return and edit the markers.
  • link individual pages to audio by pressing the clock button, and adjust the link time of each page manually.

 

Other functions in the linking area:

 

  • A page in the linking area can be edited by selecting th e??? button
  • press the time to change the page link time
  • to de-link the page and send it back to the staging area, press th e??? button

press the (?) button for a pop up that shows more about the podcast show and episode, the option to go to the podcaster’s webpage and for a copy of the terms of usage.
